Transform Trauma and Stress

Trauma and stress are a universal part of the human condition. These experiences can become emotionally and physically embedded in our mind-body. If not properly processed, this can lead to negative social, psychological, and health outcomes. We provide effective resources, tools, and practices which transform trauma and stress, and support the healing process. We believe these are essential life skills all people can benefit from.

At Svälja Yoga we partner with individuals, groups, and organizations to deliver customized, accessible, and trauma-conscious yoga and mindfulness practices. We honor diversity and inclusion and love working with people of all ages and walks of life. Sharing these powerful resources with high barrier populations and their service providers is at the core of our mission.

We would love to work with you to realize enhanced well-being for yourself and the people you support and employ. We have options for private customized classes onsite at your organization/business, in our studio, or our Employee Well-being program which provides your employees with unlimited monthly classes at our studio or virtually.

Organizations we have worked with: PAVSA, Life House, CAIR, DWI Court, Lake Superior Community Health Care Center, Intectural/Arborwood, Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment, Steve O’Neil Apartments, First Witness, Northwood Children’s Home, Harbor City International School, National Bank of Commerce, UMD, Junior League of Duluth, Family Freedom Center, St. Louis County Jail, Victory Chorus, and Neighborhood Youth Services.

“As a trauma survivor I have experienced a sense of separation from myself and the world. I felt like I no longer belonged here. Since practicing yoga I have been able to reconnect with myself, build my self-confidence, and begin to find my center. Yoga saved my life!” — Jenny C. (PAVSA Yoga Participant)

And just like you
the moon has always
been whole

No matter how much
sunlight is striking its skin

Even if just a crescent
of shimmering light
you do not have to be
full to shine

Every inch of you
already exists, even if
held in sacred darkness
waiting to be revealed
. . .
