We all hold within ourselves incredible strength, resilience, and potential for healing, transformation, and growth.
Svälja Whole-Being is a community healing center right in the heart of downtown Duluth.
At Svalja, over thirty guides and teachers offer opportunities for growth and healing through: yoga, fitness, qigong, wellness workshops, and a Yoga Teacher Training school with multi-level options.
Our team — and the community we cultivate — is fueled by a whole-being, well-being approach.
Here we support people on their own unique healing journey. We strive to share practices and wellness modalities in a way that is accessible, inclusive, and honors choice.

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program includes 200 hours required by Yoga Alliance and 50 hours of supplemental topics on Depth Psychology and Sustainable Practices. Graduates are certified at the 200-Hour level, are eligible to register as RYT200 with Yoga Alliance, and will receive a second certificate in trauma-conscious yoga.

We offer a module-based 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) Program. This means you can begin at ANY time and complete at your own pace.
These deeper study training modules are for those seeking Advanced 300-hr YTT, those seeking Yoga Alliance CEUs, or ANYONE wishing to deepen their lives and seeking Self-transformation and liberation through yoga.
You do not have to be a certified yoga instructor, simply a curious seeker.

Creating a world where all people can belong and be whole.
The Whole-being Well-being Approach
Trauma Conscious | Healing Centered | Growth Oriented
At Svälja Yoga (pronounced “svehl-yah”) all of our offerings are trauma-conscious.
Yoga means to unite. Yoga is a pathway to well-being and to the realization of our innate wholeness. We guide participants to connect with their internal resources and potential for healing, transformation, and growth. Through this exploratory journey we rediscover home, deep within: our true selves.
As a trauma survivor I have experienced a sense of separation from myself and the world. I felt like I no longer belonged here. Since practicing yoga I have been able to reconnect with myself, build my self-confidence, and begin to find my center. Yoga saved my life! — Jenny C. (PAVSA Yoga Participant)

And just like you
the moon has always
been whole
No matter how much
sunlight is striking its skin
Even if just a crescent
of shimmering light
you do not have to be
full to shine
Every inch of you
already exists, even if
held in sacred darkness
waiting to be revealed
. . .
