Advanced YTT Practicum

Practice teaching (does not include assisting, observing or giving feedback)
Receiving and giving feedback
Observing others teaching*
Assisting students while someone else is teaching
Special Requirement: Each trainee must spend a minimum of 5 Contact Hours actively practice teaching as the lead instructor. These hours may include the time during which the trainee is receiving feedback on his/her teaching. Time spent assisting, observing others teaching, or giving feedback to others is excluded from these hours.
*Evaluation or observation of yoga classes outside of the RYS Teacher Training constitutes Non-Contact Hours.

Practicum Details

In-Person Practicum Workshops with the Lead Teacher will occur in three 4 hr sessions 9am - 1pm (total 12 hrs)
One-on-one with the Lead Teacher (1 hr)
Five 60-minute Asana Session Submissions from any of the modules you choose
Evaluation or observation of yoga classes outside of the RYS Teacher Training - 8 hours
Guiding Classes at no charge at a studio or in a Private Setting where feedback is given - 4 hours
